Refund & Dispute Policy

1. Overview

dubTC processes three categories of transactions, each with distinct refund treatment: viewer-patronage donations, commemorative collectible mints, and league services. This policy describes how dubTC handles refund requests and disputes for each.

2. Viewer-Patronage Donations

Donations made via dubTC's Stripe Connect platform during live competitive events are patronage payments to esports performers based on their role in produced events. Donations are non-refundable once processed, except in cases of:

• Unauthorized use of payment method (subject to standard Stripe chargeback process)
• Technical error resulting in incorrect charge amount
• Demonstrable fraud or material misrepresentation by the event organizer

Refund requests for donations should be directed to luke@dub.tc within 30 days of the transaction. Approved refunds are processed via Stripe and may take 5-10 business days to appear in your account.

3. Commemorative Collectibles

Commemorative collectibles distributed by dubTC are recognition awards tied to specific competitive events or moments. They may exist in a free dubTC-native form (displayed in the Discord trophy case) or, optionally, in a portable on-chain form following user conversion.

Conversion fees (the user-paid cost of converting a dubTC-native commemorative to a portable on-chain form) are final and non-refundable once the conversion transaction has been confirmed on the underlying blockchain. The conversion is irreversible by design.

If a conversion transaction fails before blockchain confirmation, any credits debited will be restored to the user's account in full.

dubTC does not offer buyback programs or guaranteed-resale arrangements for commemorative collectibles.

4. League Services

League partners (operators of competitive leagues using dubTC's services) may engage dubTC for specific services such as event production, transcript analysis, prize-pool distribution, or custom rating configurations. Refund treatment for league services is governed by the specific agreement between dubTC and the league partner.

In the absence of a specific agreement, league services that have not been delivered may be refunded on a case-by-case basis upon written request to luke@dub.tc.

5. Prize Pool Distribution

When dubTC processes prize-pool distributions on behalf of league partners, the distribution executes per pre-coded rules defined at the event level. dubTC does not exercise editorial discretion over distributions.

Disputes regarding final event standings should be raised with the league operator first. dubTC will adjust distribution only following the league operator's authorization and only before distribution has been processed.

6. Chargebacks and Card Disputes

If you initiate a card chargeback for a transaction processed by dubTC, the disputed amount will be reserved from the corresponding recipient's earnings pending resolution of the chargeback. dubTC reserves the right to suspend service access during the resolution period.

We encourage you to contact us at luke@dub.tc before initiating a chargeback, as most issues can be resolved more quickly through direct contact.

7. Dispute Escalation

For any dispute not resolved through direct contact:

1. Email luke@dub.tc with a clear description of the issue, relevant transaction IDs, and the resolution you seek.
2. dubTC will acknowledge your request within 5 business days and provide a written response within 15 business days.
3. If you are not satisfied with the response, you may escalate via Stripe's dispute process (for payment-related issues) or through applicable consumer-protection channels in your jurisdiction.

8. Changes to This Policy

dubTC may update this Refund & Dispute Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the Services or by other reasonable means. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects when changes took effect.
